Victoria Lauener, MC, RCC

Trauma-Informed Therapy • Somatic and Attachment-Focused • IFS & Nervous System Integration • Emotionally Attuned & Relational

Hi, I’m Victoria, a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #22536), and I’m so glad you’re here.

Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck, numb, or flooded with emotion. We all have a deep need for connection, yet life’s experiences can leave us feeling isolated or unsafe, making it difficult to fully engage in life and relationships.

As both a client and a therapist, I understand the courage it takes to step into therapy. I approach this work with deep respect, care, and sincerity, creating a space where you feel safe, seen, and supported.

Who Victoria Works With

  • Youths struggling with emotional regulation, anxiety, identity development, or challenges in family or school dynamics. Victoria creates a compassionate and steady space for younger clients to feel safe, understood, and empowered.

  • Adults struggling with anxiety, relationship difficulties, trauma, or a general sense of being stuck or shut down. Victoria helps clients understand how past experiences shape the present and develop the capacity to live with greater connection, choice, and ease.

    What to Expect in Therapy

Victoria’s approach is warm, relational, and client-centered. She works from a trauma-informed, somatic, and attachment-focused lens. Sessions invite you to connect emotionally, physically, and somatically (felt sense and sensation) with your experience in the present moment.

She supports you in exploring the implicit beliefs shaped by past relationships and life experiences. Together, you’ll work to reauthor and reorganize your attachment systems shifting from a survival-based focus on protection to a deeper capacity for connection. She often integrates parts work (IFS) to support trauma processing, offering insight into how and why your nervous system and body respond the way they do.

Victoria incorporates nervous system regulation practices to help you feel grounded and safe, while gently exploring how your history may be shaping current patterns. Her work centres your goals, your voice, and your pace.

Why She Does This Work

Victoria is drawn to therapy by a deep desire to support those who have never had someone offer the compassion and care they deserve. Many of her clients carry shame and guilt rooted in early relationships that left them feeling misunderstood or unworthy.

She knows what it’s like to feel that way and considers it an honour to sit with others as they unlearn shame, reconnect with themselves, and find a new story one that centers love, understanding, and belonging.

Outside the Therapy Room

When she’s not in session, Victoria enjoys walking her dogs, visiting local farmers markets, reading, spending time outdoors, and moving her body through exercise. She also loves cooking nourishing meals for herself and her partner.

What Grounds and Inspires Her

Victoria feels grounded by meditation and mindfulness practices that support her nervous system. The ocean brings her peace and perspective, while deep, meaningful moments with her partner and friends remind her of what matters most. She is continually inspired by the strength and resiliency her clients bring to the therapeutic process.
